VoIP/CISCO Engineer

Work from home one day/week!!  Premier services organization in Buckhead seeking a Senior Network Engineer for their growing team!  The Network Engineer focuses on network and communication projects and documentation. 
Duties and Responsibilities: Project team lead on Cisco VOIP implementations and projects.  Capacity plan, design, and model new circuits, circuit upgrades and convergence (Voice, Video and Data).  Work closely with Network Architect in presenting recommendations to management related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment.  Oversee the maintenance of LAN/WLAN/WAN security and monitors network performance.  Manage, train and maintain the company Video Conference Implementations.  This includes 24 endpoints, a bridge unit and a managment server.  You will work directly with Polycom on new feature functions. Participate in the development of policies, procedures, and resources that standardize the functioning of the network.  Keep up-to-date documentation of the overall network. Enforce IT standards and educate employees about compliance issues.  Work with corporate security office to ensure the network is secure yet user friendly.  Provide guidance and training to other network team members.
Ideal candidate has a proven track record with 5+ years hands-on experience with the following: Implementing and maintaining an MPLS network, comes from route/switch background.  Heavy VoIP/traditional voice experience including knowing how to deal with the carriers on ordering pots and pri lines), CISCO Call Manager/Call Manager Express.  Working knowledge of subnetting, routing, switching, Voice and Video.  IP Telephony required. Teleconferencing experience ideal (Polycom preferred), Cisco administration including routers, switches, WAPs, bridges, Pix firewall, VPN concentrator and ACS servers.  Hands on Project Management experience. Bachelor’s Degree in CS, MIS or related is a plus as are advanced Cisco certifications, but not required. This position requires an average of 20% travel and will be fairly adhoc so must be ok with airplane travel throughout the US.  Great benefits including full medical, dental, life, 401(k) and work from home one day per week!  Thorough background check and employment verification required.  No sponsorships available.
